Our one-on-one training programs are perfect for kids, teens, and adults. We use focused mental exercises to strengthen core cognitive skills like attention, processing speed, and working memory. With a unique approach for each learner, our trainers keep sessions fun and challenging. 

We work with learners of all ages and abilities! Our trainers can help students with dyslexia or other cognitive challenges, too. Backed by 35 years of research, our programs can help reactivate a love of learning. 

How Brain Training Works

To help you or your child strengthen cognitive skills, we’ll design a one-of-a-kind training plan, and we’ll target cognitive skills in one-on-one training sessions. Here’s a closer look at how our training methods work, plus how they differ from other solutions — like tutoring.

Assessment & Personalized Plan

At LearningRx Reston, we craft a different approach for each learner. Beginning with a Brain Skills Assessment, we tailor training programs based on each student’s cognitive profile. 

This makes it easier to target specific cognitive skills for each learner, based on their unique needs. Programs can last up to six months, with identifiable goals for each client.

One-on-One Training Sessions

Our minds, like our bodies, can get stronger with targeted training. Like personal trainers, brain trainers can help to fast-track these gains. Our one-on-one approach is crucial to helping learners stay focused and energized. With an individualized plan for each learner, we pack each session with games and exercises. These exercises are designed to exert and hone fundamental cognitive skills. 

As students progress through sessions, trainers provide feedback and motivation. In doing so, we guide learners towards embracing new challenges and discovering new cognitive strengths. 

Brain Training or Tutoring?

When you learn new concepts, you use your brain skills to understand, analyze, and retain information. While tutoring can teach new information, it’s cognitive training that helps to improve brain skills.
